A former student of the École du Louvre, Patricia Ortelli left Greek archaeology at 30 to take over this abandoned vineyard. In this book (in French), she tells the story of that life choice and of her early conversion to organic farming.

A signature recognised by the leading guides
For more than twenty-five years, the wines of Château La Calisse have featured consistently in the selections of the leading guides and publications.
Most notably, the estate has received seven Coups de cœur from the Guide Hachette des Vins, awarded to white, rosé and red cuvées. Several vintages have also earned two or three stars, recognising the precision of the winemaking, the singularity of the terroir and the estate’s consistency over the years.
The wines of Château La Calisse have also been noted by Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, La Revue du vin de France, Bettane et Desseauve, the Guide des Vins des Sommeliers and Cuisine et Vins de France.
Beyond the awards, this lasting recognition reflects a single standard: to reveal, vintage after vintage, the truest and purest expression of the La Calisse terroir.
